Yogurt Instead of Ice Cream

Hello everyone :)
Today I have to share with you one big question I have about yogurt.
All started a couple of months ago when I first saw with Daphne a cute little store that sells frozen yogurt.
frozen yogurt
I didn't really wanted to try it because I hate hate hate yogurt.
In my mind yogurt has this weird sour taste that makes your mouth foam.
Anyway Daphne was really excited about it and everytime we are out and I want an ice cream she wants frozen yogurt.
I'm not sure if I'm the only one that doesn't like this frozen yogurt idea but I really don't feel like yogurt can replace ice-cream!
Ok I must admit that they have a colorful store
and many yogurt flavors
and of course many many tops...

So I almost understand that it might taste good but I can't get out of my head that it is YOGURT!
Oh also they have colorful spoons
If this place sold ice cream it would definitely be my favorite place..
So please tell me what do you think about that.
Can the sweet taste of ice cream be replaced be yogurt?

Gracie

  1. I think so.

I usually always would just eat ice cream, and I too hate yogurt with a passion. My cousin sort of forced me to try out frozen yogurt, and it doesn't taste like regular yogurt at all! It's sweet, and creamy, and tastes like vanilla ice cream (or in my case cake batter which is my favorite) and very smooth!

I think it's a good alternative to ice cream, though they are different in texture.

  2. try it out, the only flavor that has that "yogurt" tast is the "tart"flavor.

  3. Thanks for the lovely comment on our blog! I love frozen yogurt and think the taste of it taste nothing like actual yogurt, especially once you start adding in flavours and different mix in bits. You should give it a try :)

  5. I absolutely love fro-yo (as we call it here in the Philippines) It doesn't taste like the regular sour yogurt. Although, I agree good old ice cream can never be replaced. :)

  6. I'm the same as you and a bit sceptical about the whole frozen yoghurt thing. However my boyfriend ordered it once and I had some and it was really nice, I couldn't taste the difference. Remember it's better for you so you can have more if it! XxxX http://thesecondhandrose.blogspot.co.uk

  8. Yogurt places are usually really cute (I don't really like yogo/froyo either) I do prefer icecream.. why can't these places just sell both.. I mean there both in the same boat at the end of the day what harm would it be to have an ice cream machine behind the counter lol =)

  19. OMG I want to go there! So cute, and such a variety :) I thought I was the only one who hated yogourt- thanks for letting me know I'm not alone! However, I do like frozen yogourt. It's sweet, and doesn't have that odd 'fuzzy' texture like actual yogourt. I say go for it!

  36. That looks so good! You can hardly ever chose any topics where I live, that's why I used to go all wild at home with regular vanilla ice cream. It's so good with crumbled biscuits, chocolate, cut-up marshmellows and hershey's sirup;)

  37. The shop looks so cool and almost would make you tempted to go in and try :) I use to avoid frozen yogurt and think why why why why why but after finally trying it it's not bad and quite refreshing but nothing can beat icecream never never never!

That store looks awesome! I don't think yoghurt can replace ice cream - I'm an ice-cream lover myself. Frozen yoghurt IS a healthier alternative but you need to like normal yoghurt to accept it I guess haha (^_^) x
